Pullman Assault Defense Attorney

Have You Been Arrested For Assault?

In the state of Washington, the general offense of assault is defined as the act of intending to cause great bodily harm to another individual. Simply threatening to use force to cause harm to another person could result in you being charged with assault. You do not even have to come into physical contact with another person to be charged with this specific type of violent offense.

Assault charges in Washington are categorized as follows:

  • First-degree assault - punishable by Class A felony penalties
  • Second-degree assault - punishable by Class B felony penalties
  • Second-degree sexual assault - punishable by Class A felony penalties
  • Third-degree assault - punishable by Class C felony penalties
  • Fourth-degree assault - punishable by gross misdemeanor penalties

If you have been accused of assault, you do not have to go through this legal battle on your own, nor should you go through it alone. A skilled Pullman assault lawyer can explain defenses that are available to you, and our law firm is adept at discovering evidence that can be used in your favor.

If your incident was the result of defending yourself, defending another person, defending your property, or you simply did not even know that what you were doing was against the law, we are here to help protect you.

  • Assaulted a doctor, law enforcement officer, firefighter, or other protected party
  • Committed the assault to avoid arrest or violate a court order
  • Through your negligence, used a weapon to cause bodily harm
